The second match in India U16’s hope to qualify for the AFC U16 Championship ended in a 2-2 draw with neighbours Nepal. All four goals of the match came in the last 15 minutes in what was an entertaining game. Harpreet came on with 27 minutes remaining and scored two terrific goals for India.
In the other fixture of the group Iraq overpowered Palestine winning 4-0. The win means Iraq are occupying top place in the group.
The next match for India against Iraq is on 24th September and the winners will secure a spot in the Championship. We hope the lads play with tremendous passion and make us proud of their performance.
